Steve Fruda
Steve Fruda was born and raised in Flushing, New York. He got his first drum set at age four and has been playing ever since. Steve's first audition [for the Junior High School band] was at age 12. His first "gigging" band was in 1984 which, ironically enough, was with Paul Ranieri and Nick Moreles. Throughout his educational years, Steve studied with some of New York's most respected teachers including Greg D'Angelo (White Lion), Frank Marino (Author, Time Capsule) and Frank Bellucci (Author and NY freelance Jazz Percussionist). Steve's recording career started in 1988 at age 18 and has played on numerous albums over his 20 year recording career. Based in NY/CT, Steve's current projects include a Jazz ensemble in Connecticut called Rhapsody and Blue and is also a member of Paul Ranieri's latest project, Dangered Ace.
